  • Activity Day at the mountaintop clubhouse
    Soft drinks are available; bring your own snacks. Normally beginning at 10:00 A.M.
    Scheduled for the following dates in 2010:

    • Aug 14, 28
    • Sep 11, 25
    • Oct 9, 23
     
  • Bi-weekly NARC "Coffee Call" breakfast. 9:00 A.M., at Eat'N'Park Restaurant, 1617 N. Atherton St., State College (Near Wal-Mart). Open to all members and any interested guests. Talk-in on 146.85 MHz. Scheduled for the following dates:
    • Feb 6, 20
    • Mar 6, 20
    • April - October: Saturdays which are not mountaintop "Activity Days"
    • Nov 13, 27
    • Dec 11, 25
     
  • NARC regular monthly meetings.
    Open to all members and any interested guests.
    Time except as noted below: 7:00 P.M.  Members arriving early should convene in the cafeteria across the hall from the meeting room, to avoid disturbing license examinees.
    Location except as noted below: South Hills School of Business and Technology, 480 Waupelani Dr., State College.
    Dates: second Tuesday of each month, with the following themes and comments.
    • January: RADAR receiver systems, presented by K3BOB.
    • February: Snow cancellation.
    • March: Spring Banquet. March 19, location TBA.
    • April: Sky Warn training (at PSU).
    • May: Annual clean up at the Mountaintop Station, 5:00 PM start time.
    • June: Field Day "Then and Now."
    • July: Annual "Fox Hunt" meeting.
    • August: Annual summer picnic.
    • September: Ultra low freq. communications, presented by W3AJF.
    • October: open
    • November: "Crazy Two-meter Antenna Contest." hosted by K3YV and WA3FET.
      Rules:
      1. Antenna must fit into meeting room.
      2. SWR must be 2:1 or better as measured at meeting.
      3. Must make contact through 85 repeater at meeting using club provided transmitter.
      4. Feed line must be 10 feet or less in length with a PL259 or BNC connector.
      Winner will be selected by vote of members present.
    • December: Annual Holiday Banquet. Date, time, and location TBA.
     
  • NARC Board of Directors meeting. The meeting is open to all club members wishing to attend.
    Date: fourth Tuesday of each month, subject to change.
