NARC Receives Award from M.S. Society
2006 M.S. Award

The Nittany Amateur Radio Club received a certificate of appreciation for volunteerism at the "M.S. 150" awards banquet, October 12 in Duncansville. The certificate was presented to Woody, K3YV, for NARC's yearly support of the M.S. 150 bicycle ride. Each year, the NARC provides vital radio communications for the two-day 150 mile bicycle ride. Volunteer communicators provide two-way radio communication between the ride directors and various check points along the bicycle route. The communications task is shared with the Horseshoe Amateur Radio Club of Altoona. In accepting the award, Woody thanked the M.S. Society for giving the NARC the opportunity to participate in the important event.
