Nov. 14 '06 Membership Meeting

In addition to regular business, the following items are of note.

  • Those present voted unanimously (15-0) to adopt proposed changes to the NARC Bylaws, which bring the Bylaws into alignment with federal requirements for tax exempt status.
     
  • There was discussion of the 2007 PAQSO Party, which will be the 50th anniversary of the Party. The members voted to have NARC be the "Special Event" station(s) next year.
     
  • Those present were treated to a presentation by Tony Ferraro, W3AJF, entitled "History of Radio, Part Two." Tony covered many of the people, both famous and not-so-famous, who played an important role in the history of radio technology, from the spark gap transmitter to the superheterodyne receiver and frequency modulation.
