2007 Crazy Antenna Contest

Our September meeting featured a contest inviting members to build a "crazy" 2 meter antenna, with a prize to be awarded to the best antenna, as determined by popular vote.

RULES:

The antenna must fit through the meetingroom door,

The antenna must have SWR of less than 2:1 at 146.85,

Feedline must be less than 10' long,

The antenna must be able to contact the 146.85 repeater.

The meeting was hosted by Woody K3YV and Jim WA3FET, who built demonstration antennas. Both turned out to be "beverage" antennas... Woody featured coffee cans, and Jim featured distilled water.
